We help practices, clinical team members and trainees find opportunities, understand available funding and work through the next steps.
Whether you’re hosting a student placement, supporting a new graduate or preparing for a new role, we’re here to make the process clear and easy.
We help build and retain skilled teams so people and whānau can get the care they need closer to home.
About the Hub
The Te Waipounamu Workforce Hub makes it easier to access training, placements and funding for primary and community care across the South Island.
Making training and development easier
Finding the right training and understanding funding can take time. The Hub brings information and support together, making it easier to understand your options and get started.
We help with:
Student placements and learning opportunities.
Support for new graduates as they begin their careers.
Training and development opportunities.
Access to funding for eligible initiatives.
Working in partnership
The Hub is delivered in partnership by Pegasus Health and WellSouth. We work alongside Health New Zealand, PHOs, primary and community care providers, and training partners across Te Waipounamu.
We work with local partners to understand what their communities need and connect practices, clinical team members and trainees with the right support and opportunities.
Have a question about training, placements or funding? Our team can help you understand your options and work through the next steps.
